Everyone loved seeing a whole menagerie of creatures June 9 at the Library's Summer Reading kickoff event. From cuddly to very scary, each animal displayed its beauty to a room packed with children, parents or grandparents.

"Tortie" the tortoise displayed his amazing strength as he carried Nick Harris along on his back. Jungle Terry told many stories of his animals and proved a huge hit with everyone.
